A one-to-one research experience supervised by Cambridge-trained academic mentors.

The G2 Scholars Programme offers ambitious students the opportunity to produce a genuine research paper under the personalised guidance of a PhD-level mentor. The programme is overseen by Dr Evgeny Goncharov, a former academic researcher and PhD graduate of the University of Cambridge. He uses his vast experience supervising student research projects and guiding papers to publication to lead mentor training, quality control, and the academic design of every research experience.

Each student explores a topic of their choice, learns how academic research is conducted, and develops a polished, publication-ready paper that can significantly strengthen applications to universities in the UK, US, Europe, and beyond.

Why research matters

• The ability to sustain a long-term academic project
• Depth of engagement with a subject beyond the curriculum

• The ability to sustain a long-term academic project

• Depth of engagement with a subject beyond the curriculum

At the end of the programme, every student receives:

A certificate detailing the scope and academic level of their research

A formal mentor recommendation letter

Personalised guidance on how to use the project effectively in essays, interviews, and personal statements

For admissions, the impact is direct and substantial:

In US college applications, a research paper becomes a genuine centrepiece — concrete proof of initiative and near-undergraduate capability.

In Oxbridge and other interview-based admissions, research gives students

a meaningful topic to discuss, showing curiosity, depth, and intellectual maturity.
